During 2003 Haji Javed Iqbal Khokhar from Gujranwala, Pakistan broke the record for the biggest lock in the world. The lock uses a digital electronic system, has a height of 3.505-m (11-½ ft), a width of 1.37-m (4-½ ft) and a depth of 63.5-cm (25 inches) and weighs a colossal 1,883-kg (4,151 lbs.), plus a key weight of 120 kg (264 ½ lbs.). The biggest lock that is actually in use was made by Trusty Lock in India. Its height is 2 feet (½ metre), and weighs about 50 kgs (110 lbs.). It is used in the Jagannath Temple in Orissa. Trusty Lock has also made the smallest handmade lock. Made with silver, it weighs 1.5 grams and its size is just 4.5 mm.
